For some reason Caleb has become quite chatty. He talks all. of. the. time. You can’t squeeze a word in edge-wise without being overrun verbally by this boy. It’s not a big deal except when you are trying to teach, then the continual boy words becomes a bit tiresome. I have reminded him many times that he needs to listen some times, not just talk. To no avail.
I was helping Tessa write out her virtue tree. I was copying out the words on her brightly colored rainbow tree when the word stood out quite vividly to me.
I called out to Caleb, “Caleb, look! One of the virtues here is silence.”
Without missing a beat he calls back, “I see another one here and it’s called respect.”
